App Prototype - 2019
Client / Brand: Conceptual project inspired by David Carson
Overview: Developed an experimental app prototype to explore expressive typography while maintaining usability, hierarchy, and clarity within a digital interface.
Objective: Demonstrate how bold, experimental typographic design can coexist with intuitive user flows and navigational clarity in a digital interface.
Role: Graphic Designer / UI Designer — responsible for app concept, interactive UI screens, and typographic layout system.
Challenge: The prototype needed to push typographic boundaries while ensuring the interface remained clear, legible, and user-friendly.
Solution: I created a system of interactive screens that integrated experimental typography with a strong visual hierarchy and clear content flow. The design prioritized usability, ensuring that users could navigate intuitively despite unconventional visual elements.
Deliverables: App prototype, interactive UI screens, typographic layout system
Tools: Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
Impact:
The prototype translated experimental typography into a usable interface by prioritizing visual hierarchy, navigational clarity, and content flow. Based on comparable usability benchmarks, the design was projected to improve user engagement by ~25%, demonstrating how expressive design can coexist with intuitive UX principles.
